Merry Christmas- Here is a Huge Update!

We had a wonderful holiday; Christmas morning My parents, MeMaw, Sandra and Dylan joined us at our house for gift giving and seafood gumbo and that afternoon Daniel's parents, Tony and Jennifer all came over. It was nice not to have to run around on the holiday... we had a nice relaxing day at home. We all got plenty of gifts, Lilli's big gift was an ipod to go with her icrib and several other toys, I got a new digital camera and new diamond earrings, and Daniel got a wardrobe full of new Guy Harvey shirts, a gun cabinet, and the Simpson's movie (his favorite gift). Lilli slept all day long... she always does that when we have company. I also posted pictures from earlier in the month. She smiles and is starting to laugh a lot, she is intrigued by ceiling fans and really concentrates when you talk to her. Its hard to believe she is already a month old. Where has the time gone?!

Hello All,
I was not prepared for the lack of sleep, lack of personal time, and exhaustion I would be enduring when we brought Lilli home. The past few days have definatly been an adjustment but we are getting into the groove of things. Lilli gave us a good night last night, she ate every 2 hours and then slept for 5 hrs straight this morning. 5 hrs of sleep felt like a gift!!! These are some of the pictures we took while in the hospital- (she slept so good there, go figure!!!) I wanted everyone to see the last picture so you can see all of her hair!!! She is a sweet baby and I love her so much! I must go, sorry if it is hard to contact us. We turned our house phone off so we could rest- too many solicitors were calling. So call our cell phones or send emails and we'll get back with you as soon as we have a free moment.

Lillian DaLin Day is Here!!!

Lilli made her debut on November 29 at 8:01 AM. She weighed 8 lbs 7oz and is 20 inches long. She has a head full of dark hair, dimples like her dad, and big hands and feet. We came home from the hospital today and have just been resting since we've made it home. I have to go feed the baby so more details and pictures to come. Thank you for all of the prayers.

Tomorrow is Lilli's Big Day!

Tonight is our last night as a couple, tomorrow morning Lilli will be born and then we are a family. I have so many emotions right now and its been a very strange day- I'm exhausted but there is still so much to do. As I type Daniel is finishing Lilli's baseboards, I have a turkey in the oven for dinner, I'm about to clean the kitchen and Sandra and Dylan are coming over tonight to help decorate for Christmas. We should be home from the hospital this weekend and I'll post pictures then. Keep us in your prayers.

Jennifer's Baby Shower

This weekend I had the pleasure of helping give my sister-in-law, Jennifer a baby shower. I mainly just brought the cakes and Jennifer's Best friend, Danielle and her Mother, Cheryl did the rest. They did a great job and as you can tell by the first picture we had a great time!!! Look at Jennifer's Mother laughing in the first picture! The food was fabulous and for those of you that would like to see the difference in what 7 months pregnant and 9 months pregnant are... just look at the picture with me, Jennifer, Danielle, and Cheryl. These days I look like I'm about to pop at any given minute :) Its ok... Lilli will be here soon!

Lilli's Latest Ultrasound

Our Dr. ordered another ultrasound because Lilli and I are measuring larger than normal. Today we went to the Imaging Center and found out she is much bigger than what we were expecting!!! According to the Ultrasound I am 35 weeks and 6 days, Lilli weighs 5 lbs 13 oz, her foot is 7.3 cm long, and I'll probably have her mid-November. There has been some confusion with when this baby is coming, I was first given a due date of November 27th, then they changed it to December 10th. The Dr. goes by the 12/10 date- which would make me 31 weeks and Lilli would only weigh a little over 4 lbs, at 33 weeks (the 11/27 date) She should weigh 4 lbs 12 oz... but Lilli is bigger than both of those!!! She is in the 95th percentile for her size and weight and the poor little baby doesn't have any room inside me! She's all scrunched up! She has hair and chubby little cheeks. The pictures don't do justice for everything we got to see today. I can't wait to hold my little girl! Apparently I'll get my wish sooner than I was expecting.

Our First Baby Shower

On the 15th, Jennifer & Sandra gave me the most beautiful baby shower. I have been putting this post off because I didn't take any pictures with my camera and I'm waiting to see some images that they took but... its been long enough! I decided just to go ahead and take some pictures of some of the gifts that we got so you could see. The first picture is the travel swing we've been wanting, complements of Aunt Sandra and Uncle Jonathan, The next picture is some of the other stuff that we got that is now sitting on Lilli's changing table- boppy pillows, books, blankets, towels, wipes, bottles, a diaper cake, etc. The last picture is of Lilli's closet (its a little messy, but what did you expect from me?) The child has some clothes doesn't she?! About 1/3 of her wardrobe came from the shower but the rest is all stuff her Daddy and I have bought! We love shopping for her! (We've bought so many clothes, Daniel won't allow me to buy anything else for her until she gets here- he wants us to start stocking up on diapers and practical things... ugh) Some of the things that aren't pictured are the Travel System from Grandma Day (Lynda), the Pack N' Play from Grammy & Paw Paw (my parents) Memaw Billie and Aunt Donna, her High chair from Renee, and one of my favorites, a Sling- I'm going to have to take a picture of it when Lilli gets here- Lauren Wesley got it for us and it is embroidered with Lilli's name. It is gorgeous! Thank you to everyone that was able to come and all the beautiful gifts that we were given. We can't wait to use each and every one of them!

Newman Family Pictures Sneaky Peaky

Yesterday morning Daniel and I had the pleasure of waking up at 4:30 AM to meet Jewell & Gary Newman and their family at the beach for family pictures. Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of 5 kids (3 of which are teenagers) and 2 adults that are all lacking in sleep and the last thing they want to do is be up and look pretty that early in the morning? Its not!!! This family had it together- they did great! Here are some of my favorites from the morning, don't look too closely these are unphotoshopped (I don't think that is a word). I just wanted to give their family a sneak peak.

Swimming Fun, Fun, Fun!!

On Saturday, We took a much needed trip to the pool! I floated around and it did wonders for my Preggo Aches and Pains. As you can see in the pictures, Daniel and Dylan are the ones that had the most fun! For the first time, Daniel could throw Dyl into the deep end and have him swim back to him (That's what is happening in the second picture). The third picture shows the first prize winner of the Cannon Ball contest- Daniel's wave went over my head and probably could have knocked me out of the pool. Then you see Dylan's attempt at beating Daniel's splash... he needs to gain some weight if he's going to compete with Daniel!

For You Christine~ Belly Shot

I've been taking all the pictures since I started gaining weight from this pregnancy so I can avoid being in front of the camera. But apparently I have some relatives that live out of town that want to see what my belly looks like- well, after plenty of procrastination.... Here it is! HUGE! She's going to be a big baby! I'm off to go swimming at Sandra & Dylan's house. Have fun and stay cool in this nationwide heat wave!

This One Is For Dylan~

Dylan (our Nephew) has started football practice and absolutely loves it! 4 nights a week for 2 +++ hours a night he practices in this serious heat we are having down here. Daniel and I make it to one practice a week to show some support and see how he progresses. These are some pictures from his first practice, it rained hard that day and the ground was soaked- there was mud on my feet from walking in the grass. Gross! Dylan's team still practiced and did push ups and sit ups in the mud. The Boys Loved IT!!! As you can see in the pictures, he was covered in dirt- and these pictures were taken during a water break- he still had another hour to get filthy!!! Every time we go out to watch him Daniel gets excited and tells me Lilli is going to be a boy so he can coach football. This week they started wearing their pads and hitting each each other- they've come a long way in just a short time. Their first game is this weekend and unfortunately Dylan won't be playing because of some serious Heat exhaustion that he suffered from this week but he'll be ready to go next week when he's allowed to return to practice.
