Happy Birthday Lilli!

A long awaited post, Lilli's birthday was great. The food was great, I won't post pictures because you will all get very hungry. We had Norma's chicken Salad, Hub Stacey's Hummus, Chocolate dipped fruit made by Aunt Jennifer, Black bean rolls- From the Junior League Recipe, Cake and Cookies from Kimi Gillis (if you want a very good cake at an even better price, email me, I'll get you her number). Lilli really enjoyed the cake as you can see :) I didn't take my camera because I was too busy, So I'm uploading pictures as Jennifer emails them to me. So stay tuned, more to come!

Thankful

Before it gets any later into December I need to publish my What I'm THANKFUL for post:
1. My sweet husband, Daniel. This man loves me no matter what and is working so hard especially this time of year. Honey, I really love and appreciate everything you do. I thank God that He brought you into my life and we are going to spend the rest of forever together.
2. Lilli-Baby. How could I have gotten a better baby? Lilli has the best personality! So happy all the time. She has taught me so much about myself and helped me realize the potential that I have as a mother. I couldn't be more proud to show her off or just spend an afternoon reading books. She has taught me to enjoy the moment, taste the dirt, share, and laugh about everything.
3. My Parents- I really appreciate how they try every way possible to accomidate me. I love that we take care of each other and I feel like I can talk to them about anything.
4. Tony & Jennifer- We spend every weekend together and Jennifer and I have become so close- she understands me. Our babies play well together and so do our husbands :)
5. Alltel- Eventhough most days you can find me complaining about my job, Atleast I have one. And its a good one at that!

Stay tuned for some pictures from Thanksgivingand Lilli's birthday pictures.

Happy Halloween!

Lilli was a cute little monkey for halloween. These are just a few of the pictures that Lynda took. There are more to come as soon as I can upload my pictures. We went up to mom and dad's church carnival for Halloween and we had a very good time. I was able to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in ages. Lilli loved looking at all the children in costumes. We had shish-ka-bobs that were great!

Wellness Check Up.

This picture was in July at Lilli's friend, Kinsley's first birthday party. I just came across it and decided it was blog worthy. Lilli looks a little stunned but Grammy is beaming while she shows off one of her grandbabies. I love it!

On Tuesday, we went to see Dr. White for Lilli's 9 month wellness check up- (She is 10 months now, we got a little behind). She is doing great! She is now 30 in long and 23 lbs! She is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. The Dr. says that she is proportionate and looks very good. He told us to get rid of the bottle, which we have been trying to do for a few weeks now. That isn't going to be easy.

I wanted to upload some pictures that I took today but I found that my card reader has melted. Strange, I know. I'm guessing it got too hot being plugged in at some point. (I've only used the thing once and if I can find my recipt I'll be getting another one). So another day- another entry. I have to go get the laundry and go to bed. I have to be at work early in the morning. I'm looking forward to the day that I'm just wealthy and don't have to work for the man :)

Reasons Why I Love Living in Milton...

With gas prices soaring, I've decided to enjoy the city we live in rather than driving to Pensacola for entertainment. Here are just a few reasons why I love Milton.

1. The River Walk- Where else can one go and have a stroll down the beautiful Blackwater River, stop and remember the sacrifice our military pays at the Memorial, and enjoy live music on the 3rd Saturday of every month during the summer? The one and only River Walk.
2. The Liberty Cafe- AMAZING diner, the food is wonderful, the atmosphere is great and the prices can't be beat. They have a daily special for $5.95 you can have a sandwich, potato salad, and a drink - Add a piece of homeade apple pie with ice cream for just $2.95
3. Polkadots- This one of a kind toy store is a great find and I'm sure you will see it on the Travel channel at some point. It is a high end store that specializes in unique toys that can't be found at Wal-Mart or Target. Every Thursday they have story time for all of the kiddos. Something special about them... Fudge. They make fudge everyday in the store and the aroma makes it hard to resist. They are also available for birthday parties. Now, what child wouldn't want to have a party in that kind of atmosphere? When Lilli gets a little older we'll be having her party there.
4. Manning's Feed N Seed/Meat Processing. - This year we have really been trying to eat better, natural foods. We now buy a quarter of a cow and have it butchered and then eat on it for several months. This way you pay $2.60 per lb and get all the tbone, porterhouse, roasts and ground beef you can handle. Also you get to skip all of the growth hormones and preservatives that are added to the beef sold in grocery stores. Also- this business has been in Milton for a very long time, passed from one generation to another and they are all just as sweet as can be. If you need anything camo- go into the feed n seed.
5. The RiverWalk Market- This is another one about eating healthy. A lot of local farmers sell fresh produce here. They are open 3 days per week and have great prices. I like supporting local farmers and it is nice to talk to the people that actually grow your dinner. If you have any questions about the best way to cook something or what type of organic pesticide to use- you have the opportunity to talk to experts.
6. The Milton Bike Trail- Over 7 paved miles only for those on bikes that want to get exercise and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. There is so much wildlife that one is able to enjoy.
7. Fine Things- This store is great. So much variety and friendly faces and free gift wrapping. I just love going in there!

Those are my top reasons why I love Milton... I'll post more as I think of them. I think that it is important to support our local businesses. Shop Milton, Dine Milton, Enjoy Milton.

Lilli & Nick's First Trip to the Park

Saturday we went to Carpenters Park for the first time. Lilli and Nick loved the swings, slide, and feeding the ducks. It is unbelievable how much the park has changed since I was little. It was also a very surreal feeling, thinking about how I played at that park when I was little and now my baby can play there. Also, Nick now wears his bib like a superman cape :) and Lilli took her bow out of her hair just before we made it to the park. Our babies have minds of their own.

New Camera~

So Daniel bought me a new camera and a new lens and these are pictures from the day we got it.... I love my new toy!

Cook Images

Last Month, my good Friend Hara Cook (of Cook Images) took some pictures of Lilli. Here is just a very small sample of the great shots she got. I have yet to order my pictures because there were 60 images and I want atleast 20 of them to hang on my wall. The very top picture is my absolute favorite and I'll be ordering a huge picture to hang on my dining room wall. I'll post pictures when I get them hung.

Pictures by Amy Day #2

Well, there are a lot of you that don't know, When I married Daniel, I became Amy Day #3. That's right, there isn't just one or two Amy Day's there are three of us. Daniel's cousins, Shawn and Josh both married Amy's and they are both great. We spent the day together and it was confusing everytime someone said, "Hey- Amy." This is the first time we have all been together at the same time and I really enjoyed getting to know both of these ladies. Well Anyway, Amy #2 is the one with the really nice camera and she took these pictures of the kids today. She is super talented and I wish her the best in her own photography business one day.

I'd also like to let you know that I made Lilli's outfit. When I was still pregnant I made 3 or 4 of these little dresses and had them monogrammed and I can't believe she is already big enough to wear them! They are size 12 month! Last weekend, Jennifer and I left the babies with the guys because I had to go get Lil some bigger clothes! She has grown out of all of her 9 month clothes and everything she had that is 12 months was all winter weather items.
